Latest News For December...

As we have the festive season upon us we have created new programmes at last for you to listen to. Jesus Junction a new christian show. The good ol' Quirky & The Queer, World Jamboree and the 2007 Christmas show. All are avaliable to listen to or download.

We have posted those programmes to JRRI, the shortwave relay station who kindly provides us with shortwave transmissions. Also sent out a call for any other stations willing to broadcast the shows. They should be on air by next week.

We have a nice new logo of santa infront of a christmas card.

The big day...

Today at 4pm today I'm sure many eager fans will racing to listen to the podcast interview of Aussie Queens. It is always exciting when we get involved in these kind of projects and we hope for more like these to come. Also we have a new logo on the front page, not sure I'm completly happy with it, but it is okay for the time being.

Aussie Queens is over the moon I have given them their very own web page on the site, which is where the interview is. I hope all is well as summer approaches.. woah it's ment to be only 22C in Hobart but feels like 29C!

It's looking new!

The photos are up and running well, the link is on the homepage under News and also on the nature photography link featuring many new and beautiful images. Unfortunately it won't let me change the folder "Shortwave" which is first - bugger! It's okay I guess but those are scanned images of QSL I got from around the world, a different kettle of fish to photography.

It took an hour adding in a map on each photo so you knew where it came from. It was an awful job but was worth it for the end product.

Just click on a slideshow and snuggle in your chair and enjoy the beauty of nature!

Also a note that I created a logo for this blog, I am actually copying the idea from a Church website but I added the HRi way to make it look very different.

Homework is done for this week, I have 2 days to myself before I start the major assignment - oh joy! I'm also considering dropping my Uni studies of Counselling and do an apprentiship as an electrician.. a lot of think ahead.

New Photo Gallery

The photos we all love of Hobart are moving to greener pastures! Curently devianart is hosting all the photos but the annoying ads and the new set out which makes photos really small is annoying me like anything. I am after a site that is clean, no ads and displays the photos well. I disocvered a programme called picasa, much lighter than Adobe Photo Shop CS and it has a joint website called webclips where i can upload photos.

I was amazed at the nice clean format and a generous size of the photos. So that is the new home, when suffient photos are uploadedand many will be new and more colourful the link on the nature photos gallery page will change, and it will also be under the news on the homepage. Don't worry about being in the dark - it will all be light and you will in the know.

My new camera, a fujifilm 6500 with FD Face Detection works a treat compared to my old Olympus, I feel renwed in photography, just how i hope you will.

The oncoming vision...

Hobart Radio International will be interviewing Aussie Queens very soon, and more programming will be made. A run for Christmas programming via JRRI and basically an up and running station. I have been at Uni all year which is why I have had no time for radio, which to me is sad.

I will try and keep the news new each day but this week I have had homework pressure and I have had no time to do the news, or the lawn!
